Typical symptoms
You dictate with Weesper Neon Flow and everything works in a simple app, such as a text editor. But in another app, nothing happens:
- the shortcut does not seem to respond;
- the text is not inserted;
- the transcription appears in history but not in the target field;
- the issue only happens in business software.
This can happen with some medical, administrative, accounting, or internal company tools.
Common cause: app launched as administrator
Windows isolates applications based on their privilege level. If the target app is launched as administrator, it may reject keyboard input sent by an app running normally.
In this case, Weesper Neon Flow may work in Notepad, Word, or a browser, but not in the business app.
Quick test
- Close Weesper Neon Flow.
- Right-click the Weesper Neon Flow icon.
- Choose Run as administrator.
- Try dictating in the app where the issue occurred.
If it works, the issue is probably caused by a privilege difference between the two applications.
What to do next
You have several options:
- run Weesper Neon Flow as administrator when using this software;
- run the target app without administrator mode if your organization allows it;
- use clipboard mode if direct insertion is still blocked;
- ask your IT administrator whether the target software enforces a specific security policy.
Use the clipboard as a workaround
If direct insertion is blocked, clipboard mode may help:
- Enable clipboard mode in the text insertion settings.
- Dictate normally.
- Paste the text manually with Ctrl+V in the target app.
This is not as smooth as direct insertion, but it lets you keep using dictation in a protected environment.
