Why specialized terms are harder
Common words are easier to recognize than rare terms. In a medical, legal, or technical context, some words may be:
- rare in everyday language;
- phonetically close to other words;
- unknown to the model;
- mixed with abbreviations;
- pronounced quickly in a long sentence.
Weesper Neon Flow can improve these results with the dictionary and contextual prompts.
Add terms to the dictionary
Use the dictionary when the same word is repeatedly transcribed incorrectly.
- Open Settings → Dictionary.
- Add the word as it is often incorrectly recognized.
- Add the correct form.
- Test with a short sentence.
Example:
- incorrectly recognized form:
leimlosende - expected form:
schleimlösend
Adapt the example to your language and field.
Use contextual prompts
Contextual prompts tell Weesper Neon Flow which field you are working in.
Examples:
- “Medical transcription in French, general consultation vocabulary.”
- “Legal notes in French, keep technical terms unchanged.”
- “Technical IT text, do not translate command names.”
Keep it simple. A short, clear prompt is often better than a long paragraph.
Avoid sensitive data in examples
To test a medical or legal term, use a neutral sentence. Do not add a patient name, client file, identifiable diagnosis, or confidential information.
Neutral example:
The treatment is indicated in this clinical context.
If instruction text appears in the transcription
If the transcription displays a phrase that looks like a technical instruction, for example guidance such as “do not translate” or “transcribe exactly”, that is not the expected result.
Try:
- changing the context preset;
- shortening contextual prompts that are too long;
- returning to a standard preset;
- restarting the app.
If the issue comes back, contact support with a neutral example. This will help us correct the behavior.
