Your First Dictation

Configure Voice Mode

  1. Open Weesper Neon Flow
  2. Go to SettingsVoice Mode
  3. Choose Keep spoken language for normal dictation, or Translate to English if you want an English result
  4. Select Automatic detection or the language you are going to speak
  5. The app supports 55+ spoken languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese

Test Your Microphone

Before your first real dictation, do a quick test:

  1. Open any text editor or application
  2. Hold the hotkey (Shift+Tab on macOS and Windows)
  3. Say a short sentence
  4. Release the hotkey — your text appears at the cursor

The Hold-to-Speak Workflow

Weesper Neon Flow uses a simple hold to speak, release to transcribe approach:

  1. Hold the hotkey → recording starts, the HUD appears
  2. Speak clearly at a moderate pace
  3. Release the hotkey → audio is transcribed offline
  4. Text is automatically inserted at your cursor position

Customize Output Style

For tone and structure, use Output Style. For specialized vocabulary (medical terms, legal jargon, technical words), use the Dictionary:

  1. Go to SettingsOutput Style to choose or write style instructions
  2. Go to SettingsDictionary for names, product terms, acronyms, and auto-corrections
  3. Keep style instructions short and concrete for the best results

What is the default hotkey?

Can I dictate in multiple languages?
