Test Your Microphone
Before your first real dictation, do a quick test:
- Open any text editor or application
- Hold the hotkey (Shift+Tab on macOS and Windows)
- Say a short sentence
- Release the hotkey — your text appears at the cursor
The Hold-to-Speak Workflow
Weesper Neon Flow uses a simple hold to speak, release to transcribe approach:
- Hold the hotkey → recording starts, the HUD appears
- Speak clearly at a moderate pace
- Release the hotkey → audio is transcribed offline
- Text is automatically inserted at your cursor position
Customize Output Style
For tone and structure, use Output Style. For specialized vocabulary (medical terms, legal jargon, technical words), use the Dictionary:
- Go to Settings → Output Style to choose or write style instructions
- Go to Settings → Dictionary for names, product terms, acronyms, and auto-corrections
- Keep style instructions short and concrete for the best results
