Writing Style: Choosing and Using Presets

What Writing Style Does

Weesper Neon Flow can adapt the text it produces beyond raw transcription, using a Writing Style (shown as Output Style in Settings) preset. This affects tone and structure — for example a more literal result, a more formal one, or wording tailored to a specific field.

This is separate from punctuation and capitalization, which are controlled independently and always apply, whichever style is active.

Where to Find It

1. Open Weesper Neon Flow.
2. Go to Settings → Output Style.
3. You will see a list of presets — for example Literal transcription — alongside other built-in options, plus one or more custom slots.

How to Select an Active Preset

1. Click the preset card you want to use.
2. Confirm it now shows as selected — only one preset is active at a time.
3. Close Settings and do a short test dictation to confirm the tone or structure changed as expected.

If nothing changes after selecting a preset, fully quit and reopen the app once, then test again.

Using a Custom Preset

1. Select a custom preset slot.
2. Enter short, specific instructions — for example your professional field (“medical vocabulary in French”) or a tone (“concise, no filler words”).
3. Save it, then select it as the active preset following the steps above.

Writing Style vs. Punctuation Settings

These are two independent systems:

• Punctuation and capitalization (see this guide) controls mechanical formatting — capitalization, spoken punctuation, line breaks — and applies no matter which Writing Style preset is active.
• Writing Style / Output Style presets add tone and structure guidance on top of that mechanical formatting.

If the formatting itself looks wrong regardless of style, check Punctuation and Capitalization instead of Output Style.

When to Contact Support

Contact us if a selected preset never seems to affect your output. Include your OS and app version, the exact preset name you selected, and a short example of what you dictated versus what you received.
