Text Not Inserting

macOS — Grant Required Permissions

Text insertion on macOS requires two permissions:

Accessibility

  1. Open System PreferencesSecurity & PrivacyPrivacy
  2. Click Accessibility
  3. Click the lock icon and enter your password
  4. Add or check Weesper Neon Flow

Input Monitoring

  1. In the same Privacy section, click Input Monitoring
  2. Add or check Weesper Neon Flow
  3. Restart the app after granting these permissions

Windows

Text insertion on Windows uses SendInput and should work out of the box. If it doesn’t:

  1. Make sure WebView2 Runtime is installed
  2. Try running the app as administrator (temporary test)
  3. Check if your target application blocks automated input

Clipboard Fallback

If direct insertion doesn’t work in certain applications:

  1. Go to SettingsText Insertion
  2. Enable Clipboard fallback mode
  3. After dictation, the text will be copied to your clipboard
  4. Paste manually with Cmd+V (macOS) or Ctrl+V (Windows)

FAQ

Why does dictated text not appear in my app?

On macOS, you need to grant both Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions. On Windows, make sure WebView2 is installed.

What is the clipboard fallback?

If direct text insertion fails, the app can copy text to your clipboard instead, so you can paste it manually with Cmd+V or Ctrl+V.
