Getting started
Drag an audio or video file onto the app window (or click to choose one). Weesper Transcribe transcribes it locally and shows the text. You can then play it back with word-by-word highlighting, edit it, search it, and export it.
System requirements
- macOS on Apple Silicon or Intel.
- No internet connection required — transcription runs entirely on your device.
Common questions
Which files can I transcribe?
Common audio and video formats are supported (for example mp3, m4a, wav, and most video
files your Mac can read).
Is it really offline?
Yes. Your files and transcripts never leave your Mac. There is no account and no cloud.
Which languages are supported?
Transcription works in dozens of languages (around 57), with automatic language detection or
a language you choose.
How do I export?
You can copy the text or export it. Pro unlocks SRT, VTT, Word, and PDF in addition to plain
text.
What does Pro include?
A one-time purchase (no subscription) that unlocks longer files and batch transcription, the
SRT / VTT / Word / PDF exports, and the editing, search, and clickable-timestamp workflow.
I bought Pro on another Mac — how do I get it here?
Open the in-app Pro section and choose Restore purchases. Your one-time purchase is
tied to your Apple ID and restores on your other Macs.
How do I request a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
